Description:
An impressive brooch of a parrot by William Spratling, the master of Taxco silversmiths. The brooch, which appears on the spine of the cover of the "Mexican Silver" book by Penny Morrill and Carole Berk, is exceptionally large with its sterling silver form and a large rectangular amethyst for the bird's body. Hallmarked on the reverse with the conjoined WS mark and the oval "Spratling Silver' mark.
