Description:
An 18 karat gold brooch of "Tristan and Isolde" by Salvador Dali. Tristan and Isolde by Richard Wagner was Dali's favorite opera and in tribute, Dali designed this brooch showing the lovers in profile with a wine glass separating their lips. The chalice has a triangular buff brushed garnet signifying the wine and 33 full cut diamonds weighing approximately one carat. The brooch is signed on the back "Tristan and Isolde, after Dali," 18k and the initials HK. The HK stands for Henryk Kaston who made all of Dali's jewelry after the 1980's. The brooch comes with the original Dali/Kaston box. The brooch, which is crisp and well defined weighs 16.6 grams.
